Classroom Information
Extended Day Hours- Monday through Friday, 8:30am- 1:30pm
Communication
Communication is very important to us at Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103. We feel our partnership plays a vital role to your child’s success, and always want you to be informed. You’ll receive communication via email from the district level (ENews and the Superintendent’s Message), the school level (Principal’s Message and the PTO Blog). My classroom website will be updated every week or every other week.
Please check your child’s folder and backpack daily. I will send home a daily report of the child with activities and a short summary of the child’s day. This helps us keep strong communication between the parent and school daily. Please do not hesitate to call, email, or write a note regarding your child.
Attendance
In the event that your child will be absent from school or have a late start, please call our 24-hour attendance line. Children with temperatures of 100 degrees or above should not be in school. A child with a temperature of 100 degrees or more should stay home for 24 hours after his or her temperature returns to normal without the use of fever-reducing medications.
If, for any reason, you need to pick up your child early, come into the school office to sign them out. A morning note, the morning of, would be appreciated.
Drop off/Pick Up
Parents cannot park in the u-shaped driveway to drop off or pick up their child. If you are dropping off your child, you must park your car in the lot and walk him/her to the front door of the building. An early childhood assistant will be waiting for students.
Snacks & Lunches
Snacks and lunches are an important part of the extended day classroom. Each day the students will eat one snack and a lunch. If your child is full day, please send in a lunch and water bottle daily. We have access to a refrigerator and microwave if lunch needs to be warmed up. Students also have access to purchase lunch, please contact the front office for more information.
